Air Travel
Air travel is going from one place to another via an airliner or an aircraft. Air travel usually begins from one airport and ends at another. The airplane is usually operated by an airline though some air travel can be accomplished through the use of privately owned airplanes. Air travel is mostly used for business trips and vacations but is also used for military purposes.
For business or vacation purposes, air travel is accomplished by buying airline tickets from airliners or leasing a private aircraft. Depending on the distance to be traveled, the number of passengers and the main purpose of the trip, airplanes may be wide-bodied or narrow-bodied.
Passenger airliners used for air travel usually have distinct cabin classifications. There is usually a first or business class and an economy or coach class. The business class is more expensive than the economy class. For the extra expense, business class seats are generally wider and more comfortable. Amenities like food, drinks and entertainment are also better than what could be had for economy class air travel.
Air travel is generally more expensive than ship, bus or rail travel. But air travel more than compensates for this by the convenience it affords the travelers. Air travel is much faster than other means of travel. A destination that could be reached in a matter of days could be reached in a matter of hours trough air travel.
Air travel may require someone to have a visa and passport, depending on the destination.
